Where Friction Happens, We Create Growth.
最大の課題は、ほとんどの場合、スプレッドシートには表れていません。それらは文化的な、運営上の、そして深く人間的な課題です。以下に、私がどのようにしてそれらを乗り越えるお手伝いをするか説明します。
01.
The Problem: A Stalled Market Entry
Your global playbook isn't working in the local market. Deals are slowing, and communication is breaking down.
Our Solution: I act as your embedded “cultural bridge,” translating not just language, but business logic. I leverage 30 years of experience—from pioneering mobile content at NTT DoCoMo to scaling YouTube across Asia—to build the trust and strategy needed for a strong market presence.
02.
The Problem: A High-Stakes Negotiation
A critical partnership has turned hostile, or a key relationship is underperforming, putting revenue at risk.
Our Solution: I step directly into the conflict. I specialize in turning tense interrogations into friendships, as I did with key partners at Discovery, Disney and NTT DoCoMo. We find the common ground that ensures a deal doesn’t just close, but creates a positive, long-term outcome.
03.
The Problem: A Complex Transformation
You need to lead a difficult change initiative, manage a crisis, or get a resistant organization aligned.
Our Solution: I provide C-suite guidance grounded in decades of P&L ownership and hands-on leadership. From board-level crisis governance at KADOKAWA to managing difficult layoffs with radical candor and compassion, I help you make the hard calls while keeping your team and purpose intact.
An Accidental Journey.
My path was never linear. It began with a childhood in Cold War Germany and an “escape hatch” from a military career I thought was my destiny. It was an accidental bridge to Japan in 1995 that truly set my course.
That journey has taken me through the front lines of digital disruption: building the world’s first mobile internet service, i-mode; scaling Disney’s digital presence in APAC; and developing the YouTube creator ecosystem from scratch across 16 markets.
Underpinning it all has been another journey: navigating my own battle with bipolar disorder. It’s a part of my story that has taught me the true meaning of resilience and the power of empathy in leadership. Today, this experience drives my passion projects, like my work with TechDoctor, using technology to improve mental health outcomes.
It all came into focus with a simple question from my daughter: “Gaga… Why do you want to be so famous?”. In that moment, I realized my purpose wasn’t to be in the spotlight, but to be a “host leader”—the one who creates the environment for others to succeed. That is why I’m here.
